A couple of days after Selena Gomez shared a tearful video over the White House’s crackdown on criminal migrants, the Donald Trump administration has slammed the Hollywood actor-singer by releasing a compiled video of mothers of those allegedly killed by illegal border crossers.
The one-minute and 27-second video was released by the White House on its official X handle on Saturday and showed people mocking Gomez over her video – sobbing about Trump’s mass deportation plan at the US-Mexico border.
Tammy Nobles, whose 20-year-old daughter Kayla Hamilton was allegedly murdered by an MS-13 gang member and El Salvadorian national, fumed at the actor in the counter clip, proclaiming, “You don’t know who you’re crying for."
“What about our children who were brutally murdered, raped and beaten to death and left on the floor by these illegal immigrants?" she added.
“Seeing that video it’s hard to believe it’s genuine and real because she’s an actress," said Alexis Nungaray, whose teen daughter Jocelyn was found dead in a Houston creek last year in a murder authorities believe was committed by Venezuelan migrants.
The women in the video also thanked Trump for launching the crackdown on illegal immigration within hours of taking office on January 20.

Selena Gomez came under fire from many of her fans as well as right-wing lawmakers for one of her Instagram videos, wherein she said, “Apparently it’s not ok to show empathy for people".
“All my people are getting attacked, the children," Gomez, whose family is from Mexico, was heard saying in the video.

DONALD TRUMP’S IMMIGRATION CRACKDOWN
Trump’s administration has directed prosecutors to investigate officials who resist immigration enforcement efforts, intensifying a sweeping crackdown that he launched the day he took office.
The US President has issued a broad ban on asylum and taken steps to restrict citizenship for children born on American soil.
The administration has rescinded guidance from his Democratic predecessor Joe Biden that had limited immigration arrests near schools, churches and other sensitive places.
Trump has also expanded immigration officers’ power to deport migrants who cannot prove they have been in the US for longer than two years.
His move to expand fast-track deportations faced a legal challenge on Wednesday, with immigration advocacy group Make the Road New York filing a lawsuit arguing the policy known as expedited removal violated the constitutional right to due process, immigration law and administrative law.
