Sources said that the US military aircraft carried over 100 illegal immigrants. Most of the people belong to Gujarat and Punjab, they added.

The first batch of illegal Indian immigrants from US arrived at Amritsar’s Shri Guru Ramdas Ji Airport on Wednesday afternoon. Sources said that the US military aircraft carried over 100 illegal immigrants. Most of the people belong to Gujarat and Punjab, they added.

Sources further said that immigrants with criminal records will be taken to detention centre for follow-up action. “Case-by-case verification from state concerned is going on," they added.
