ChatGPT voice feature now works within the main screen which means you don’t need a separate interface to use the voice version of the AI chatbot. OpenAI continues to experiment with new additions and bringing voice mode into the full setup feels like the logical move that many users will appreciate.

Making voice mode work on a different screen adds friction so integrating with the main interface allows more people to try out ChatGPT in the voice avatar. More importantly, you get to converse with ChatGPT naturally rather than switching between different screens to make the best of the feature. 

Voice Mode Moves Forward: But Why? 

Making this change not only brings easy access to voice mode but also allows OpenAI to bring new features to the AI chatbot. The company has managed to make images and maps work within the voice responses over the main interface. All these details are available in real time and have been announced as a part of the latest change with ChatGPT. 

Having said that, OpenAI is leaving the choice open to the users, and in case they liked it the older way, they can revert back to having the voice mode work in a different interface. You can do this by going to settings, click on Voice mode, and enable the Separate Mode option to separate your text and voice conversations with ChatGPT. 

The company has also introduced a special tool right in time for the holiday shopping season. The new tool for shopping will obviously have the visual traits so that you can see, select and decide on your buying options.

Shopping is a big part of the market during this time of the year, and OpenAI is looking to tap into the heavy demand for people looking to buy products conveniently. ChatGPT clearly aspires to be your AI shopping assistant with this tool which is available for free users as well as the ChatGPT Go, Plus and even the Pro subscribers. 

You just have to log in with your ChatGPT account to make the best of the personalised shopping features. The company has developed the AI tool with focus on categories like electronics, garden, kitchen and appliances among others.
