A 22-year-old Indian student, Gurasis Singh, studying at Lambton College in Sarnia, Canada, was stabbed to death during a fight with his roommate. The accused, 36-year-old Crossley Hunter, was arrested from the scene and charged with second-degree murder. Singh was from Punjab.

A 22-year-old Indian student was stabbed to death in Sarnia, Canada, during a physical fight with hisroommate. The victim, who was an international student studying business at Lambton College, was identified as Gurasis Singh from Punjab. The accused, 36-year-old Crossley Hunter, has been charged with second-degree murder and was remanded in custody.
According to the Sarnia Police, the incident occurred in the early morning hours of December 1, 2024, at a shared-rooming house on Queen Street. Police responded to a 911 call and found the victim with multiple stab wounds. Hunter was taken into custody at the scene.
Hunter appeared by video before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody. His next court appearance will be by video on Friday (December 6).
