Two days after Elon Musk’s SpaceX launched its giant Starship rocket to space from Texas, the billionaire, on Thursday claimed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was convinced Donald Trump would lose the American presidential election.

Moreso, Musk said Bezos even convinced others to sell out their Tesla and SpaceX stock, probably because Musk openly supported Trump.

Elon Musk fueled Trump’s election effort by giving at least 119 million dollars.

In an X post, Musk wrote, “Just learned tonight at Mar-a-Lago that Jeff Bezos was telling everyone that Donald Trump would lose for sure, so they should sell all their Tesla and SpaceX stock."

The tweet was followed by a grin emoji.

Bezos was one of those who congratulated Trump soon after declared his victory in the presidential polls.

“Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory. No nation has bigger opportunities. Wishing Donald Trump all success in leading and uniting the America we all love," he wrote in an X post.

Elon Musk attended an event at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club a couple of days ago, where, according to some media reports, there was an outburst when Musk countered Boris Epshteyn — a top adviser who reportedly pushed contentious Matt Gaetz for attorney general.

Earlier this month, the net worth of many of the world’s wealthiest people skyrocketed, particularly those with strong ties to cryptocurrency. This was followed by Donald Trump’s election win in the United States.

According to Forbes, Musk experienced a nearly 21 billion dollar jolt to his net worth, bringing it to 285.6 billion dollars, as his stock closed up nearly 15 per cent at 288.53 billion dollars, its highest share price recorded this year.

Meanwhile, Jeff Bezos’s net worth was up 7 billion dollars to 223.5 billion dollars, after a strong day of trading for Amazon shares.
