President Donald Trump on Friday said that the US Army Black Hawk helicopter involved in Wednesday night's deadly mid-air collision near Washington, DC, was "flying too high", as new footage of the crash, in which 67 people died, surfaced online.
"The Blackhawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far above the 200-foot limit. That's not really too complicated to understand, is it???" Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
The crash occurred near Ronald Reagan Washington Airport, an area where US military helicopters regularly fly along a designated route over the Potomac River, with an altitude limit of 200 feet for safety.
