WhatsApp has introduced a new way to customise the chat list
WhatsApp is bringing another feature for its users in the coming weeks called the custom chat list. This functionality enables individuals to organise their chats and differentiate between various sets of contacts. With the Lists feature, WhatsApp users can also filter their chats with custom categories of their choice. Whether you are creating a list for family, local neighbourhood, or work, this new feature helps you focus on the conversations that are most important, when you need them.
Custom Chat List On WhatsApp: How It Works
Wondering how to set up the WhatsApp lists feature on your smartphones? You can easily do it by opening WhatsApp and tapping the + sign in the filter bar present at the top of your Chats tab. Then, create and edit your lists easily by long-pressing a list.
The company further states in its blog post, “Similar to your ‘favourites’, you can add both groups and one-on-one chats to a list, and any list you create will appear in the filter bar."
The company rolled out this feature on October 31, and it will be available in the coming weeks.
The tech giant further mentioned that they are looking forward to expanding the functionality of Lists to help WhatsApp users focus on the people and conversations that matter most.
In addition to the chat theme update, WhatsApp has enhanced its video calling capabilities with several new additions. With the latest updates, users will now be able to add an element of creative expression by applying filters, like Warm, Cool, and Dreamy, during calls. The messaging app has also introduced background customisation, offering options such as beach scenes, cosy living room settings, or a simple blur for privacy.
To enhance the visual experience during video calls, especially in dimly lit environments, WhatsApp has also launched a 'Low Light' mode and 'Touch Up' feature for users who are concerned about video quality.
