The Paul-Tyson flight brought about a sudden fame to a college student present during the match as a ring girl, Sydney Thomas.

The Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul boxing match might have ended in bliss for some and disappointment for others, but it has made the day for Sydney Thomas, a 20-year-old model, who was the ring girl at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
Her presence caught the viewers’ attention last week after which she has been flooded with praise and followers on social media as she turned into an overnight sensation after the match.
She posted a TikTok video on Saturday acknowledging the “overwhelming" flood of attention she has been getting, the New York Post reported.
“Im happy you guys enjoyed the broadcast!!" Thomas, currently a student at the University of Alabama, captioned the post on TikTok where she has nearly 8,00,000 followers.
The video had a caption that read, “waking up to see i’m trending for the tyson v paul fight".
She also has over 4,00,000 followers on Instagram where she thanked her fans for their support.
“I woke up to an overwhelming amount of love and support from all of you," she wrote in an Instagram story on Saturday.
“I can’t thank you guys enough or begin to express how grateful I am. I love you all — thank you for your kind words," Thomas added.
She took to social media to also express her bliss of taking part in the much-hyped event and said that she felt honoured to be a part of history being made.
“Getting the opportunity to step into the ring with @MikeTyson and @JakePaul for such a historic fight is something I never imagined I’d be able to say," Thomas captioned a separate post. “Words can’t describe this moment or how grateful I am to be part of such an amazing team at @MostValuablePromotions. History was made, and I’m truly honored to have been a part of it."
Raphaela Milagres, Virginia Sanhouse, Delia Sylvain and Lexi Williams were the other ring girls for the fight, New York Post reported.
58-year-old Tyson, who was up for a first officially sanctioned professional fight in 19 years, was beaten by 27-year-old Paul in the bout via unanimous decision.
