Samsung and Google are working on a lot of things together these days but the South Korean giant is willing to compete with the search brand in other areas. Samsung’s Internet browser has been limited to its own phones and the app stores till date but now the brand is ready to launch it for Windows users where Chrome has an unbeatable lead.

Samsung says the Windows app for its browser is available to users in the US and South Korea and this is part of the beta program for its product. Samsung is also making sure that it is in sync with the trends in the market which means you have AI features built into the browser.

Samsung Internet Browser For Windows: How It Compares With Chrome?

Samsung Galaxy phones have got this browser pre-installed, part of its bloatware apps. But the company is now looking to spread its browser wings, and making it available on Windows PC is the next step. Just like Chrome it has support for extensions, you even have a dark mode version which is pretty much the standard nowadays.

And like your Google ID, you can use the same Samsung account to cross sync across devices.

We expect Samsung to bundle it with the Galaxy Book laptops, just like how Microsoft pre-loads Edge browser and discourages installing any other browsers (with repeated pop ups) on the system.

Feature wise most of the browsers are the same, but it is the overall usability and fluidity of these platforms that defines their popularity. Chrome is available by default on Android phones but even the web version is in high demand. In fact, the Edge version from Microsoft is built on the same Chromium engine which tells you more about the product.

Samsung is offering a wide range of AI features with the browser and it is all about making its presence felt, performance that people like and giving them strong alternatives to Chrome.
