Lenovo has made a pricey keyboard that doesn't need to be charged regularly and uses the power of light to keep it running.
These gadgets have interest because they can run for years.
Using a wireless keyboard or mouse is convenient because, no wires to bother about. However, these gadgets come with a built-in battery that needs to be charged, probably every week.
But what if we tell you there is a new keyboard on its way that won’t need to be charged, in fact, it will charge on its own? That’s right, Lenovo is the brand which has solved this big issue for millions of users with its new wireless keyboard, showcased at the CES 2025 this week.
This keyboard looks and works like any other keyboard out there in the market. But the biggest game changing feature of this product is that it can use the power of the sun and light to charge itself. CES is generally filled with boring launch events but products like these definitely catch our attention and we thought about sharing it with everyone.
Solar Keyboard: How It Works
This self-charging keyboard from Lenovo does not pack the traditional set of batteries. Instead, it uses advanced tech that harnesses the solar and light energy to charge the device. The brand has put a panel that absorbs the light to charge the device. The biggest addition to the keyboard is the supercapacitors that can store this energy and let you use the device for a longer time.
The keyboard has a spill-resistant design too, so that you never have to worry about spilling food or water and spoiling it. But now comes the most important part about this unique self-charging device, the price. Lenovo will be selling it for around $70 (Rs 5,950 approx) in the market which is definitely on the pricier side but will surely have takers.
